Yaeda was a warrior from Raven: The Secret Temple. Her real name is Thea Day. She was The leader of the Eagles (TST) team and ended up finishing in 6th place.

Personality[]

Yaeda was a strong leader who was level headed, kind, liked by her team and was not afraid to delegate challenges she believed would be better suited to other warriors. Despite this, she was eliminated at the stepping stones challenge along with Samra, but Taylan and Karja decided to bring her back due to her strong leadership skills.

Yaeda had a good relationship with the rest of her team, particularly Taylan who was described by Sohar as being her "right hand man" and her second in command who she would strategise with.

She remained leader into the final week, where she also led the Elite Team. In Snakes and Ladders, where she was eliminated, she nominated Marca to take her roll. Although in the end, this assisted Marca in completing the challenge, it was likely done because if Yaeda had taken 10 steps, she would have landed on a snake. It is unclear if she chose Marca at random or because she wanted to save or eliminate her.

Strengths[]

Yaeda's biggest strength was her excellent leadership skills which not only led to the Eagles getting maximum stones in leadership-based challenges like Enchanted Demons and Field of the Dead, but lead her team to 1st place overall in the Virtue Trials and the elite team to success in the citadel.

Yaeda's one weakness was probably her agility as she was carelessly eliminated at Stepping Stones/Bridge.

Leadership Trials[]

Before the Leadership Trials, Yaeda remarked that she believed her strongest quality to be her optimism.

Thrall Thread Pathway[]

Yaeda did well in this challenge, managing to make her way through the thrall thread pathway quickly and finishing a close second behind Taylan. This meant she could vie for the leadership of the team in the second leadership trial alongside Taylan.

Column Build[]

Yaeda did very well in this challenge, managing to work out the conformation of the column pieces easily and managed to complete her column well ahead of Taylan. This meant she earned the leadership of the Eagles team.

After Column Build, Yaeda said she had got a bit confused when trying to fit the last two pieces so had worked it out by putting them together on the ground. Yaeda commented that she believed she would be a good leader as she will listen to everyone in her team and make sure they are happy.

Virtue Trials[]

 Day 2: Riddle Trap[]

The Eagles were the first team to undertake this task. Though Yaeda was team leader, it was decided that since Taylan was the most agile warrior in the thrall thread pathway leadership challenge, he should walk the riddle trap. The Eagles were presented with the riddle:

From the months of the year, take the days of the week

Add the seconds a minute will yield.

Take away all the hours in a day, add those two digits and you'll know the way

For behold, your true path is revealed.

The team quickly deciphered that the answer to the riddle was 5, and correctly translated it using their books. They all then worked out a path for Taylan to walk to get the jewels. The Eagles gained three jewels in this challenge.

Day 3: Enchanted Demons[]

The Eagles were the first team to undertake this challenge. Yaeda directed the team from the side and gave good clear instructions, allowing the team to hook the jewels quickly and Samra to pull them in, completing the challenge. The Eagles gained all four jewels in this challenge.

Day 4: Obelisks of the Sun[]

Yaeda struggled in this challenge and although she was quick to carry her pieces up the hill, she started to panic when trying to assemble her obelisk. Yaeda eventually managed to complete the challenge, though after all of her teammates. The Eagles gained all four stones in this task.

After the challenge, both Karja and Taylan said they had been concerned that Yaeda was panicking and would not finish but they were glad she finally got there. Yaeda commented that she had struggled as she couldn't find all of her pieces but managed to finish with the help of her teammates.

Day 5: Temple Spirit Run[]

Samra and Karja both managed to find jewels quickly in this challenge and exit. Though they both managed to grab lots of pouches, Yaeda and Taylan took a while to find jewels. Yaeda found one first and exited the challenge before Taylan who just managed to finish in time. The Eagles gained all four Jewels in this challenge.

Day 6: Giant Catapult[]

The Eagles decided to pull back and fire the catapult in pairs, with each warrior getting a turn. Though Samra and Taylan managed to fell a pot, Yaeda and Karja did not manage to within the time limit. The Eagles gained just one stone in this challenge.

After this challenge, Yaeda said she found the task really hard when initially she thought it would be easy. She also thought the team could have pulled their weight a bit more.

Day 7: Archery[]

The Eagles were the first team to attempt this challenge. The warriors decided to have 3 arrows each and whoever was left would take the remaining arrows. Yaeda was the only warrior to hit a target, hitting the target on her first attempt. The Eagles gained one jewel at this challenge.

After this challenge, Samra commented that he thought Yaeda had done really well getting the jewel on her first attempt. Yaeda said she didn't think she'd be able to hit a target at all so was really happy with how she did. The next day, when asked whether the team let her down, Yaeda said they had not and everyone had just got a bit nervous.

Day 8: Field of the Dead[]

Taylan elected to undertake this task and was directed by Yaeda. She gave excellent, clear instructions and Taylan managed to collect all four jewels in this challenge and escape from the field safely. The Eagles were the only team who managed to get all four jewels in this challenge.

After the challenge, Taylan said that Yaeda was brilliant in the challenge and gave great directions, however, Samra said he thought the decision to send Taylan to get the last jewel after the warning drum had sounded was risky and unwise. The next day, when Yaeda was asked why Taylan was sent into the field, she said he was an excellent all-round warrior. She also said that their performance at Field of the Dead has given her more confidence for upcoming challenges. Samra remarked that it was obvious Yaeda was an excellent leader and Karja agreed, saying she was very good and had guided the team to success.

Day 9: Stepping Stones[]

The Eagles were the first team to attempt Stepping Stones. Yaeda decided that each warrior was to aim to get 2 pouches each, but to focus first and foremost on getting through safely. As leader, she elected to go first. Yaeda managed to grab one pouch, but after she grabbed her second, she could not regain her balance and fell from the stone, eliminating her. Karja and Taylan both managed to cross successfully, collecting pouches, however, Samra also slipped from the stone, brushing the ground and was eliminated. Of the 4 pouches collected, only 2 actually contained jewels. Taylan and Karja then faced the decision of whether to bring back their teammates - in the end choosing to bring back Yaeda as they believed her to have more all-round skills than Samra. The Eagles gained 2 jewels in this challenge.

After the challenge, Taylan commented that Yaeda and Samra had made stupid mistakes but he was glad they brought Yaeda back and that it was the right decision as she was a better all-round warrior. Karja agreed and said although it was a hard decision, they had saved Yaeda as she had guided the team to success in the last 7 challenges. Yaeda said although she was happy to be brought back, she made a stupid mistake which was risky and showed bad leadership. She then said that her error was a slip up which she would endeavour not to let it happen again by not taking big risks and she would try to be a good leader in the future.

Day 10: Chariots[]

Taylan was first to finish, and was closely followed by Karja who was the first warrior to unhook her jewel. Yaeda was to collect the remaining 2 jewels (as Samra had been eliminated at Stepping Stones/Bridge the previous day) however she struggled with unhooking the jewels so elected to just collect one in order to get back in time. The Eagles gained 3 jewels in this challenge.

After the challenge, Yaeda remarked that she was very lucky as she had only just finished when the drum beat for the second time, but she was happy that she got a jewel and didn't take the risk of getting the second. The next day, Yaeda said she didn't mind asking for help on the challenge or not getting the second jewel as the team is all in it together. Karja agreed and said Yaeda had done really well to collect one jewel. When asked whether he would have been able to get both jewels, Taylan said that while he could have unhooked it, he wouldn't have got back in time and was just glad Yaeda was still in the quest.

Day 11: Rangoli Ring[]

Yaeda, Taylan and Karja worked together to identify which symbols they should copy by dividing up the circle between them - they managed to solve this quickly and easily. Yaeda and Karja then painted the symbols on the ground while Taylan directed. Yaeda managed to draw the first symbol and Karja the second - Karja had trouble drawing the third, but Taylan and Yaeda both helped her out to draw the correct symbol. The Eagles then threw a rock to check their answers and no fire ignited, indicating they had been correct on their first attempt and gained all four jewels.

After this challenge, the Eagles were ambushed by demons, however, managed to escape safely.

Day 12: Pillars of Courage[]

At the start of the challenge, Yaeda expressed concern that she may be too short to collect a stone so it was decided that Taylan should go first. Taylan managed to successfully cross, collecting all four stones, despite Yaeda saying to leave one for Karja to attempt. Yaeda went second, managing to successfully complete the challenge, and Karja brought up the rear, again crossing with no issues. The Eagles gained all four stones in this challenge.

Yaeda commented after the challenge that she was scared during it and was finding the challenges progressively more difficult but would just try to keep going. Though Yaeda said she would have tried to collect jewels in this challenge, she thought they were too high for her to reach and it wasn't worth the risk as she could not be brought back again. When asked, she said she thought she was a worthy leader and was trying her best and defended sending Taylan first in this challenge as it was not one of her strengths.

Day 13: Waters of Time[]

As Samra had previously been eliminated, the Eagles had the option to work together to collect the fourth stone, however, Yaeda decided it was not worth the risk and the team agreed. She also suggested the tactic of covering the jars when running to prevent the loss of any water, which turned out to be an excellent tactic. Karja was first to gain her jewel, closely followed by Yaeda and Taylan at virtually the same time. The Eagles gained three jewels in this challenge.

Both Taylan and Yaeda herself said that she struggled in this challenge but as she saw the rest of her team doing well, she said that made her more determined to succeed.

Day 14: Thrall Threads[]

Taylan was the first Eagle to tackle this challenge. He managed to persuade leader, Yaeda to let him collect a jewel. His foot then brushed a thread, ringing a bell and eliminating him. Karja then went next, collecting two jewels, and was joined in the threads by Yaeda. Karja made it successfully out of the threads and helped guide Yaeda the rest of the way through - on the way she managed to collect the last stone. After the challenge, the Tigers elected to bring Taylan back. The Tigers gained three stones in this challenge.

After the challenge, Yaeda commented that it was so difficult and was sad for Taylan but was happy she and Karja had managed to get the rest of the jewels. Taylan commented that he was very grateful for Yaeda and Karja deciding to bring him back. Yaeda also said that looking back, it would have been better if she had gone first as she is small and would have been more able to find a good route.

Day 15: The Ledge[]

Yaeda elected to go first in this challenge, she tried to reach the first stone but could not manage it so left it for the other warriors. She managed to collect the second and fourth stones but the third was again out of reach. Taylan went last in this challenge and managed to reach the last two jewels and cross successfully. The Eagles gained all four stones in this challenge.

After the challenge, Yaeda commented that she found it very difficult and was just unable to reach the second two jewels despite attempting to jump.

Final Week []

Day 16[]

As the Eagles had come first in the Virtue Trials, Yaeda (along with her teammates) was exempt from the elimination challenge, The Gulley and automatically became part of the Elite Team. As she had been leader of the winning team, Yaeda continued in this role in the elite team.

Day 17[]

Trivia[]

  • It is actually unknown whether Yaeda's name is spelled as "Yaeda" or "Yeada" as she has been captioned with both iterations during Raven: The Secret Temple. In fact, during episode 14, she was even mistakenly captioned as Sohar.
